This studio report presents Making Greenways: A Typological Transposition between Vienna and Seoul, a design studio conducted during the winter semester 2024–25 at TU Wien, led by Guest Professor Philipp Urech and Univ.-Prof. Susann Ahn. The studio explored greenway strategies along the Wien River, drawing inspiration from Seoul’s Cheonggyecheon River. Using digital modeling and photogrammetry, students developed site-specific design proposals that reimagine the river corridor. The outcomes contribute to Vienna’s blue-green infrastructure, fostering climate resilience, active mobility, and ecologically integrated public spaces as a contemporary expression of Baukultur.
