PushOver – Verfahren für unbewehrtes Bestandsmauerwerk : Vergleich von praxisnahen Nachweisen für Gründerzeithäuser : a comparison of wilhelminian style buildings in step with actual practice

Abstract

Die Stadt Wien ist weltbekannt für ihr kulturelles Erbe, nicht nur historisch und musisch, sondern auch für ihr Stadtbild. Damit diese typischen alten Fassaden der Grunderzeithäuser im Original erhalten bleiben und weiterhin den Zuwachs an Einwohnern ermöglichen, werden die Gründerzeithäuser umund ausgebaut. Der Ausbau beinhaltet beispielsweise eine Aufstockung auf den Bestand, oder das Zusammenlegen von altenWohnungen um den Anforderungen an moderne Größenund Zimmeraufteilungen gerecht zu werden. Somit werden die alten Gebäude Wiens mit ihrem Charme und typischen Raumhöhen adaptiert und modernisiert. Im Jahr 2009 wurden die Regeln verschärft und erst durch eine Überarbeitung des Eurocodes 2013 gab es eine neue Betrachtungsweise. Von nun an musste das gesamte Objekt untersucht werden, inklusive einer Risikoanalyse im Hinblick der Personenanzahl vor und nach dem Umbzw. Ausbau. In dieser Arbeit wird ausschließlich auf die Berechnung des Bestandes eingegangen. Der momentane Stand der Technik lässt verschiedene Methoden zu, um diesen Bestand nachzuweisen. Hier wird das PushOver Verfahren mit einem dafür entwickelten Programm - 3muri (IngWare) angewandt. Zusätzlich wird eine “Handrechnung” mit Hilfe einer Excel-Berechnung durchgeführt. Als dritte Variante wird das Ersatzkraftverfahren für die Bemessung herangezogen und die Beanspruchung mit Hilfe eines weit verbreiteten Programms in Ziviltechniker-Büros berechnet - RFEM (Dlubal). Der wissenschaftliche Blick rückt hier in den Mittelpunkt. Das PushOver Verfahren steht im Raum, mit der nächsten Überarbeitung des zugehörigen Eurocodes, als Stand der Technik für die Berechnung gegen Erdbeben zu werden. Wie schlägt sich ein dafür entwickeltes Programm gegenüber einer reinen Berechnung nach Norm und die momentane Methode mittels Ersatzkraftverfahren? In diesem Sinne ist eine Untersuchung aus Sicht der Praxis und der Wissenschaft interessant. Der Eurocode soll die Berechnungen nicht unnötig komplex gestalten, jedoch genug Sicherheiten und Nachweise beinhalten, um die Sicherheit der Tragfähigkeit im Ausnahmezustand Erdbeben zu gewährleisten.

The city of Vienna is world-famous for its history, musical heritage and the beautiful city landscape. The old buildings characterize significantly the typical Viennese flair which creates a unique atmosphere for tourists and locals alike. In order to preserve these typical old facades and manage to provide a living space for the increasing population theWilhelminian style houses are being remodeled and expanded on. The typical changes can include a new floor on top of the existing or a few merging of old apartments into one to meet the requirements of modern sizes and room layouts. Thus modernizing the old buildings of Vienna with their charm and typical room heights. With the year 2009 new rules tightened and only by a revision of the Eurocode in 2013 there was a new approach of design again with more freedom and execution of the conversions. From now on the entire object had to be examined thoroughly. This includes a risk analysis with regard to the number of persons before and after the remodeling. This document deals with the calculation of buildings in their present form, thus the condition before the planned conversion. The current state of the art allows various methods to prove this. There is the PushOver Method with a certain developed program - 3muri (IngWare), which is also carried out with a manual calculation with the help of an Excel spreadsheet. As a third variant, the Substitute Force Method is used for the test against earthquakes using a widely used program in civil engineering offices - RFEM (Dlubal). The comparison of the methods is very interesting from several perspectives: Which of them is the quickest and saves resources and thus money in practice? Which results are too much on the safe side and may not allow the desired result or lead to additional costs for the customer? The PushOver process is on its way to be added into the next revision of the associated Eurocode as state of the art for calculation for earthquakes. How does a developed program compare to a pure calculation according to norm, or against the current Substitute Force Method? In this sense an investigation from the point of view of practice and science is in order. The Eurocode is not intended to make the calculations unnecessarily complex, but to include sufficient security to ensure the safety against the probable chance of an earthquake.
