Abstract

Aus der Fülle an Architektur-Designs und Informationen leite ich die Ziele meiner Analyse ab und hinterfrage die Planungsmethodik des Faches Architektur: die Vergabeverfahren für die Planungsleistungen, die Planungsmodi und -inhalte, die Organisation und die Qualitätskontrolle der Planung und Bauausführung - vom Architektur-Entwurf bis zu den Architektur-Details -, um Werteentscheidungen beim Entwerfen und Konstruieren von Architektur zu objektivieren.<br />Nach einem historischen Abriss zum »Architektur-Detail«, werden die Themen »Sequentielle und Iterative Architektur-Planung, der Mehrwert präziser Planung, das Dokumentenmanagement in Virtuellen Projekträumen, Bewertungsverfahren für EU-weit offene Architektur-Wettbewerbe, die Auswahl der bestgeeigneten Planer und Baufirmen« analysiert und Methoden für die »Iterative Feinformung« innovativer Architektur-Details aufgezeigt - mit dem Ziel, die klimatisch-topographische Vielfalt und kulturelle Individualität architektonischer Details durch genaues Erforschen und Detaillieren der Aspekte »Funktion (Zweckerfüllung), Tópos, Konstruktion, Proportion und Form« zu fördern.<br />

I have taken the targets of my analysis from the wealth of architectural designs and information and have scrutinized the design methodology of the architectural profession: the award procedure for the design services, the design methods and contents, the organisation and quality control of the design and construction - from the concept to the details of the architecture - in order to objectivize value decisions when conceiving and designing architecture.<br />To adopt a logical approach to design and construction in a diversified architectural world, I look to the treatises on architecture by Vitruv, Alberti, Palladio and Breymann and study a few architectural mas-terpieces - by Brunelleschi, Prouvé, Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Loos, ...: What value does architectural detail have in their oeuvre? In a historical survey of "architectural detail", the themes of "Sequential and Iterative architectural design, added value of precise planning, document management in virtual project areas, evaluation methods for EU-wide, open architectural competitions, selection of the most suitable planners and contractors" are analysed and methods are presented for "iterative refining" of innovative architectural details - with the aim of promoting the climatic/topographical variety and cultural individuality of architectural details by precisely researching and detailing the "Function (fitness for purpose), tópos, construction, proportion and form" aspects.
