dc.description.abstract
This master's thesis contains studies about the influence of moisture buffering and behaviour of ventilating on the room climate in apartments. Therefore a simulation model in "Matlab" with "Simulink" was developed, for simulating an apartment with different usage, ventilation behaviour and moisture buffering. In section 3 and 4 is referred about the validation of this model on some examples.
The explanation of the basics for the present calculation model is demonstrated in chapter 1.
Chapter 2 is concerned with the description of the zone model and his components. Furthermore this chapter contains a detailed description of the used solve algorithm and a description about the coherences which are necessary for modelling with the present calculation model.
Chapter 3 and 4 contain examples with an analytical solution for validating the separate parts of the simulation model.
Chapter 5 contains the results from the calculation of the apartment with different usage, ventilation behaviour and moisture buffering scenarios. The primarily conclusion is, that short ventilating with an high exchange rate assisted by leak-proofed windows maintain a higher humidity inside than it is specified in the currently valid standards.
Furthermore it is shown that ventilating with a high exchange rate for 15 minutes is too short because of the moisture buffering of the constructions. During this interval the buffered moisture can not be disposed, so after closing the windows the humidity of the room air has nearly the same value before opening.
