geordnete Prozesse, Dokumentation, Weiterbildung,...).
dc.description.abstract
Quality management (QM) is widely used in production plants - in contrast to information technology and telecommunication companies (ITC companies) - and provides a competitive advantage in many cases, in some it is even a question of economic survival. In the itc sector a downward spiral was triggered by increasing competition, affecting the quality of provided services. One solution against this trend could be the introduction of QM systems in ITC companies. In parallel, it would make sense to lift handling of environmental matters and occupational safety to an adequate level as well. In this thesis, the following questions are discussed with the help of a reference model: How may the standards for quality, environment as well as occupational health and safety management be applied to an ITC enterprise? Is it possible to reconcile these three standards? Which steps are necessary for introducing a combined management system for quality, environment as well as occupational health and safety in an ITC enterprise? In which way should trainings and measures for continuing education be organized for employees of an ITC enterprise? Key results: The examined standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001) may be introduced in an ITC enterprise without major problems, as they also include service companies in their current versions. For matching those three standards, detailed planning is necessary, as their structures differ from each other. During operation, the additional work for administration of all 3 standards seems minor, as many requirements (e.g. controlled processes, documentation, advanced training,...) underlie all three of them. For the introduction and operation of a combined management system, the necessary resources, motivation of employees and the support of the management board are required.
Trainings and advanced education are essential elements for reaching adequate quality and continuous improvement.
