dc.description.abstract
The present thesis is devoted to compare a Calcium sulfate screed, a cementitious screed with a handmade surface and a cementitious screed with a machine-made surface in regard to the thermal behavior. A sample with a measuring surface of 1,30sqm for every screed type was made for the trial. The screeds were heated with various supply temperatures. The temperature and the heat flow were measured under stationary condition, under intervals which were time operated, and under intervals which were dependent on the temperature of the surface.
The measured results indicate that the Calcium sulfate screed heats up faster due to its better heat conductivity and that it cools down faster than the cementitious screed. The Calcium sulfate screed also reaches a higher surface temperature. The heating pump of the Calcium sulfate screed has to adjust more often at the measuring of the intervals, which were dependent on the temperature of the surface than of the cementitious screed. The energy consumption of the different screed types is nearly the same.
If you compare the flow temperature needed to reach a certain heat flow, the cementitious screed with a handmade surface lies about 2% and the cementitious screed with a machine-made surface about 12% above the Calcium sulfate screed.
