dc.description.abstract
Dual fluidized bed gasification plants can be used for thermo-chemical conversion of biomass to a high-valuable product gas. Applying advanced control concepts offers the opportunity to increase the efficiency of those plants. Model predictive control has been applied successfully to control plants in the process industry. In this paper, the identification of a 100-kW pilot plant at the TU Wien is presented in order to obtain a model that can be used for model predictive control.
