Zusammenführung von konventionellen Ansätzen und Lean-Management-Ansätzen in der Arbeitsvorbereitung und Ausführungsphase : Prozessanalyse

Abstract

Als eine der ältesten Wirtschaftszweige der Welt blickt die Baubranche auf enorme Erfahrung und fundierte Arbeitsprozesse zurück. Gegenwärtig befindet sich die Baubranche aufgrund steigender Anforderungen an Bauprojekte und deren Abwicklung in einer Umbruchphase. Kontinuierlich werden neue Ansätze, Methoden, Verfahren und Programme entwickelt. Diese zielen auf eine agilere, effizientere und transparentere Produktivität ab. Lean Management im Bauwesen (Lean Construction) stellt eine neue Managementmethode dar. Die Analyse und Transparenz von aufeinander abgestimmten Prozessabläufen sowie eine partnerschaftliche Projektabwicklung stehen im Fokus. Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Vorbereitung und Abwicklung von Bauprojekten hinsichtlich Zeit- und Ressourcenplanung, Wochenplanung sowie dem Umgang mit gestörten Bauabläufen. Hierbei werden konventionelle Ansätze und Lean-Management-Ansätze differenziert. Zu Beginn dieser Arbeit werden die Grundlagen beider Methoden mit Fokussierung auf zuvor genannte Punkte beschrieben. Es werden Vorgehensweisen und Werkzeuge beider Methoden aufgezeigt. In weiterer Folge bildet die Beschreibung einer praktischen Vorgehensweise beider Ansätze den Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit. Hierzu wurden Prozessabläufe auf Grundlage von Gesprächen mit Experten der PORR Design & Engineering GmbH analysiert und mithilfe der grafischen Spezifikationssprache Business Process Model and Notation visualisiert. Es werden Schnittstellen aufgezeigt und Arbeitsschritte chronologisch beschrieben. Eine kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung von bewährten Arbeitsprozessen soll eine zukünftige Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Unternehmen gewährleisten. Dieser Leitgedanke wird in dieser Arbeit aufgegriffen und umgesetzt. Abschließend wird aufgezeigt, wie konventionelle und Lean-Management-Ansätze in einem gemeinsamen Abwicklungsprozess kombiniert werden können. Die Entwicklung dieses gemeinsamen Abwicklungsprozesses basiert ebenfalls auf Fachgesprächen und Workshops mit den Experten der PORR Design & Engineering GmbH. Durch die Integration der Stärken von konventionellen und Lean-Management-Ansätzen wird ein Mehrwert bei der Abwicklung von Bauprojekten im zuvor genannten Bauunternehmen erwartet. Ein wesentlicher Punkt bei dieser Zusammenführung ist die Vermeidung einer Verschwendung von geleisteter Vorarbeit.

As one of the worlds oldest economic branches, the building industry looks back on enormous experience and well-founded work processes. Currently, the building industry finds itself in a transition phase due to increasing demands on construction projects and their execution. Continuously new approaches, methods, processes, and programmes are developed. These aim at a more agile, efficient, and transparent productivity. Lean Management in the building industry, also called Lean Construction, constitutes a new and partly used management method. The analysis and transparency of coordinated process flow as well as a collaborative project execution are in focus. This thesis is concerned with the preparation and implementation of construction projects regarding scheduling and resource planning, weekly scheduling as well as handling faulty construction procedures. In this respect, conventional approaches and Lean Management approaches are differentiated. At the beginning of this thesis the basics of these two methods are described while focusing on the aforementioned points. Procedures and tools of both methods are shown. Subsequently, the description of a practical procedure of both approaches form the core of this thesis. Therefore, the process flows were analyzed on the basis of interviews with experts of PORR Design & Engineering GmbH and visualized with the help of the graphic specification language Business Process Model and Notation. Interfaces are revealed and working steps will be described chronologically. A continuous development of established work processes should ensure future competitiveness of companies. This principle is seized on and implemented in this thesis. Concludingly it is shown how conventional and Lean Management approaches can be combined in a joint process. This development of a joint processing is also based on expert discussions and workshops with experts of PORR Design & Engineering GmbH. Through the integration of the strengths of both conventional and Lean approaches, additional benefit in the execution of construction projects is anticipated. An essential aspect in regard of this merger is the avoidance a waste of preparatory work.
