Almost all properties of sintered steels depend on porosity. Although electrical conductivity and also Young’s modulus are important physical properties, not many data about sintered steels have been published. This paper extends the database for sintered steels, which was already started with thermophysical properties. It is shown that the electrical conductivity depends not only on the density but also on the sintering intensity and the composition, while Young’s modulus is only dependent on the density. All of the data are compared to the previous measurements done with the same material, but in different batches.
Young's modulus, damping and eletrical conductivity data of different PM steels are hardy available. Here the dependance on density and composition is discussed.
