Imaging in the terahertz spectral region is costly and complex. Machine learning yields tools that allow the recognition of objects more efficiently than plain imaging. We present a single-shot optical machine learning approach for detecting objects in the terahertz spectral region by using a single pixel detector paired with a terahertz spatial light modulator.
