dc.description.abstract
dc.description.abstract
This diploma thesis investigates the dynamics of an electromagnetic track brake in high position. Using the multi-body dynamics software SIMPACK, its special focus is on vertical movements of the brake in its ready position. The structure of individual components of a magnetic track brake is outlined in the simulation environment and it is shown how the components are combined to create a complete model. The parameters required for the multi-body simulation model are adjusted using data obtained from calculations and tests.
The model is activated by a range of different noise signals defined in accordance with the railway applications standard ÖNORM EN 61373. A variety of activation spectra and their system responses are analysed.
This is followed by conclusions drawn regarding short life-time tests carried out in accordance with the railway applications standard ÖNORM EN 61373.
