A convenient and straightforward one-pot hydrosilylation reaction of different unsaturated carboxylic acids with trialkoxysilanes in the presence of catalytic amounts of platinum(IV) dioxide resulted in excellent yields in organofunctional silanes combining carboxyand alkoxy groups within one molecule.
