dc.description.abstract
This paper describes the conceptual design of a Digital Twin (a digital representation of an
entity which mirrors its current state) for an integrated pilot plant for synthetic natural gas (SNG)
production. The plant uses woody biomass as a feedstock and consists of a dual fluidised bed (DFB)
steam gasification reactor and a fluidised bed methanation reactor. The first steps of the integration of
the digital twin are addressed as well.
