AOSS - Austrian Orthopaedic Services health tourism to Austria : a business plan

Abstract

The proposed business is Health Tourism (medical tourism or medical travel) to Vienna, Austria. This will not be on general medical services but will focus on orthopaedic surgeries more specifically the hip and knee endoprosthesis. Our key target markets are those patients from Turkey, Russia, Iran, and the Middle East countries like United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. The market will focus on people suffering from Knee or Hip arthrosis, 50years+ of age, female or male, with yearly income 100,000U$+, who lives in a more or less under develop country with an insufficient health care system and would like to have the surgery in one of the best orthopaedic hospitals in the world located in Vienna, Austria. The Health tourism package will include all administrative work including visa processing, Physical check-up with the head of the Orthopaedic department to see if an operation is needed, registration for the operation (if surgery is needed), and scheduling the operation. It also includes Limousine service to/from the entry/exit point in Austria to a 5 star hotel where the patient will stay before and after the surgery. The patient also enjoys a 10 days stay in a superior full board single bed patient's room inclusive of all necessary dressing for pre and post operation, including post-operative physical therapy. Operation will be done by the head of the Orthopaedic department. We also offer a 3 week post-operative Rehab stay in Austria, if required.
