dc.description.abstract
In this thesis we study mesons within in the Sakai-Sugimoto model. We examine the geometric and thermodynamic properties of the model. We introduce finite baryon density and give a numerical analysis of the meson spectrum. It turns out that non-trivial behaviour occurs both at low and high densities. Furthermore, the spectrum depends significantly on a free parameter of the model, i.e. the asymptotic separation of the D8-branes.<br />
