dc.description.abstract
dc.description.abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the model-based nonlinear controller design for the hydro-mechanical subsystem of a hydraulic hybrid drive in parallel topology. The overall goal of this work is to develop a closed-loop speed control as well as a closed-loop torque control in order to meet the given requirements. In case the parallel-clutch is open, the task of the closed-looped speed control is to synchronise the speed of the hydraulic machine with the speed of the drive train. When the parallel-clutch is closed, the hydraulic system has to follow a desired torque. Hence, a high dynamic closed-loop torque control has to cope with this challenge. Since the hydraulic system is nonlinear in nature, a mathematical model of the physical system is derived in order to handle the nonlinearities in a systematic way.
Furthermore, a reduced-order model based on an eigenvalue analysis, on the physical properties of the hydraulic oil, as well as on the experiences with the hydro-mechanical components under consideration is derived in order to reduce the complexity of the overall mathematical model. By means of the simplified model various control concepts are developed with respect to the dynamics, the control error and the robustness in terms of parameter variations and disturbances. In this context, the small number of sensors is a challenging task for the controller design. The feasibility and the quality of the proposed control concepts are shown by means of simulation results.
