dc.description.abstract
dc.description.abstract
Due to the integration of computer-aided methods, it has been possible to embed coordinate measuring machines directly into industrial production- and testing processes. With the help of geometry measurement and numerical correction methods several systematic measuring errors can be eliminated from the measurement result. Precondition for the long-term validity of these correction methods is a time-independent stability of geometry errors of the coordinate measuring machine.
In this thesis the deformation of measuring plates of large coordinate measuring machines are examined as practically observed phenomenon that leads to the shifting of systematic geometry errors. As a deformation of the measuring plates of this type of measuring machines leads to the shift of systematic errors, geometry measurements have to be executed periodically. To minimize the opportunity costs caused by this phenomenon, more efficient methods to determine the geometry errors of horizontal-arm coordinate measuring machines are developed in this thesis. Due to the creation of practically oriented results, the methods are analyzed with the help of measuring data of a real coordinate measuring machine and application possibilities are discussed.
