The extreme urban growth of cities worldwide is consuming land and nature faster than we can imagine due to an ever growing world population, migration and globalization. This phenomenon is however only happening in specific dense locations until every bit of land and green space is converted into a concrete jungle. Since this results in space being a limited and even luxurious resource, it is very difficult to find building ground for residential use. But if not the ground level, what about moving the possibilities to the roofs of a city? That idea is not new and there are countless examples of building add-ons and penthouses, which tend to be expensive and long-lasting. The opposing micro-structure movement on the other hand, that started in the 1970s as parasitic clip- ons, offered faster solutions, but it was simply considered an artistic manifestation as it was very new and experimental. Today these interventions are returning with a new sense, in the form of parasites attached to their hosts while using their energy to sustain themselves. This project, in addition to the topic of parasitism, also deals with new lifestyles that are currently experimental and somewhat unconventional, but which try to interpret the diversity and flexibility of ́our four walls ́ in a new way and expand their limits even further through transformations. The home should adapt to its inhanitant, breathe with him and that could be achieved through a movable system.
