Simulation Service Providing unter Verwendung von Web Service Technologie

Abstract

Die Konvergenz der Simulation und der Technologie des Internets, im Besonderen der Webtechnologie, ist bereits seit ca. 10 Jahren Teil der Forschung und Entwicklung im Bereich der Simulation.<br />In der kommerziell eingesetzten Simulation gewinnt der Begriff des Simulation Service Providings immer mehr an Bedeutung. Simulation Service Providing bedeutet dabei Simulationsdienste als Application Service Providing über das Internet anzubieten.<br />Die aktuellen Schlagwörter in der Webtechnologie sind XML, Web Services, Grid Computing und Semantic Web. Sie bieten die Möglichkeit, webbasierte, verteilte Simulation zu automatisieren und unter Einhaltung von Qualitäts- und Sicherheitsrichtlinien Simulation als Service über das Internet anzubieten.<br />Das Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit war nun, die Entwicklung der Simulationstechnik mit der Technologie der Web Services zu verbinden und weiters zu untersuchen, inwieweit XML und darauf aufbauende Technologien geeignet sind, um Simulation Service Providing zu unterst"utzen. Es wurde ein Framework entwickelt, das es erlaubt, Simulationsdienste als Web Service anzubieten.<br />

The worldwide globalization and the rapidly changing consumer demands challenge the e-Business market and the convergence of simulation and the technology of the internet is part of research in the simulation domain since 10 years. As Simulation Service Providing plays a bigger role in the field of business to business applications for every year, it is of major interest how the new technologies can fit in a scenario of Simulation Service Providing.<br />In the domain of webtechnology XML, Web Services, Grid Computing and Semantic Web are the main research areas of all big software companies and organisations concerned with the development of webstandards. These technologies have the capability to be used in the field of distributed simulation and to provide Quality of Service and security standards for the provision of simulation servcies.<br />This work investigates the use of XML and follow up technologies in the field of Simulation Service Providing. A framework, which combines the development in simulation techniques and the Web Service technoloy and is capable of providing simulation services via internet was developed.
