dc.description.abstract
dc.description.abstract
Due to rising energy costs, dropping security of supply and issues of sustainability, distributed generation with photovoltaics becomes more and more interesting. Regarding to high profitability, it is important to increase the output efficiency of a photovoltaic system.
Thus, an efficiently working maximum power point (MPP) tracker is required. Aspects of measuring the performance of MPP trackers have been handled within this thesis. As result, a novel test procedure for representative evaluation is presented. Furthermore, fundamental research on issues of influences on MPP tracking is done with the help of developed simulation tools and laboratory test.
