This research paper addresses the question of which approaches from research on strengthening corporate entrepreneurship (CE) can be applied to small businesses in the food craft in Germany. In doing so, it fills a research gap, as CE has so far only been researched in the context of medium-sized and large companies. For this purpose, the approaches to strengthening CE that could be found in the scientific literature were organized into a new category system with 15 enablers. By of expert interviews, representatives of a company and a management consultant from the food craft were asked which enablers they found useful and applicable in principle and which ones from the literature. Most approaches from the scientific literature almost always seemed applicable and useful under the premise that the respective enabler is implemented in a low-threshold and, if possible, informal manner. These premises resulted in 14 hypotheses. In particular, intrinsic motivators such as recognition, successful collaboration between colleagues, feedback on one's own work, moderate criticism, and a level of autonomy tailored to the individual seemed implementable and especially useful. In addition to the previous research, five minor extensions of the existing enablers from the literature could be elaborated. It can be concluded that the developed set of CE enablers is largely complete.
