Ein Ziel dieser Diplomarbeit ist die Entwicklung eines Vorgehensmodells für die Evaluierung von Geschäftsprozessmanagementsystemen und die Aufstellung von Anforderungen an solche Systeme bezüglich unterschiedlicher Kategorien. Der Le-benszyklus von Geschäftsprozessen, verschiedene Werte des Geschäftsprozessmanagements, Prozesstypen, Anforderungen an die Infrastruktur und Fehlerquellen des Prozessmanagements werden untersucht.<br />Ein weiteres Ziel der Diplomarbeit ist die Analyse eines zustands-basierten Ansatzes zum Geschäftsprozessmanagement und eines Lernalgorithmus, der auf Inhalten von Dokumenten basiert. Die ISIS Papyrus Plattform wurde anhand des entwickelten Vorgehensmodell evaluiert und zum Abschluss wurden Verbesserungen des Systems empfohlen.<br />

dc.description.abstract
The first objective of the analysis presented in this thesis is to define an evaluation procedure for Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) and to investigate requirements to BPMS in different categories according to the procedure. The business process life cycle, different BPM values, process types, infrastructure requirements and BPM failure reasons are explored. The second objective of the analysis is to investigate ISIS Papyrus' BPM approach grounded on a state-based representation of processes and a learning algorithm sensi-tive to document content. We have assessed the ISIS Papyrus BPM platform step by step according to the developed procedure.<br />Finally, some recommendations for improving the evaluated system are provided.
