Collaborative process management in construction by means of rules and ontologies

Abstract

Diese Masterarbeit ist Teil des BauVOGrid-Projekts, deren Ziel ist es, die Struktur, Funktionsweise und Operabilität virtueller Organisationen (VO) im Bauwesen durch eine wiederverwendbare Bau-Grid-Infrastruktur entscheidend zu verbessern. Um dies zu erreichen wird ein D-Grid-basierter Lösungsansatz erarbeitet, der es ermöglichen soll:<br />* Zuständigkeits- und Autorisierungsstrukturen beherrschbar auf Rollenbasis abzubilden, * VO-Prozesse schnell zu konfigurieren und entsprechend der Zuständigkeitsstruktur zu instanziieren und zu managen * Informationen aus unterschiedlichen Quellen integriert und schnell, flexibel und sicher sowohl im Büro als auch mobil auf der Baustelle zur Verfügung zu stellen * Ad-hoc-Änderungen von Prozessabläufen * die mobile Erfassung von Prozessen und Prozess- sowie Produktzuständen auf der Baustelle zu unterstützen Durch den Ontologieansatz in BauVOGrid wird erreicht:<br />* eine einheitliche semantische Bindung (Commitment) aller Anwendungen und Services der Plattform, * Mapping der informationstechnischen Zugriffsrechte, Autorisierungen etc. auf die tatsächlichen, bauspezifischen Rechte und Pflichten in der VO, die über vertragliche Bindungen und Leistungsverzeichnisbeschreibungen geregelt werden, sowie * eine kontextabhängige Definition von Arbeits- und Informationsprofilen * erreicht Der Kern des Projekts ist Kollaboratives Porzess Management. Zu diesem Zweck sollen die Informationen effizient analysiert werden, sowie werden die intelligenten Lösungen gefragt. Darüberhinaus ist ein Reasoning-Tool, das die Arbeit mit den Ontologien ermöglicht, notwendig.<br />In dieser Masterarbeit wird Reasoning mit Regeln und Ontologien von der ASP (Answer Set Programming) Perspektive eingesetzt. Das hat viele Vorteile: Deklarativität, Nondeterminismus, Entscheidbarkeit, Skalierbarkeit. Mittels Regeln können solche Szenarien wie "Rollenbasiertes Management" und "Business Prozess Objekt Management" unterstützt werden.<br />

This thesis is the part of the German ongoing project BauVOGrid - Virtual Organisation (VO) Grid in Construction. The aim of BauVOGrid is to improve the structure, functionality and interoperability of the virtual enterprises in Construction Engineering. D-Grid-base solution is taken as basis for this purpose, and enables such aspects as:<br />* role based authorisation * configuration, instantiation and controlling of the process * quick, flexible and safe integrating of different types of information * support of information exchange between the various project areas and project partners In order to support these scenarios the grid-services will be implemented. The basis of the grid-infrastructure is ontologies. They play an important role in the project, supporting central defect management, business process object management, VO-management and platform management. Moreover formalization of the processes is still at the upcoming stage because of the high complexity of these processes, the very high dynamic behavior and the short lead time of the projects, therefore the adaptation of ontologies for processes serves for efficient information sharing and harmonization, providing interoperability in systems with multiple heterogeneous resources as is typical for construction projects.<br />The key point of the BauVOGrid-project is collaborative process management. For this purpose it is important to analyze the given information efficiently. Therefore the powerful reasoning tool, which also enables the work with ontologies, is needed. In this thesis the reasoning with rules and ontologies from the answer-set programming (ASP) perspective is considered.<br />The presented in this thesis strategies are based on the project requirements analyze, and together with implemented ontologies and programs are aimed to improve the Collaborative Process Management in Construction Engineering.<br />
