We demonstrate single-shot acquisition of hybrid two-step amplified bursts, in which spectral modulations are deliberately suppressed in a femtosecond chirped-pulse amplifier and then recovered in an optical parametric amplifier, anticipating several exciting resonant multiphoton applications.
