dc.description
In the EU-funded project BRISE-Vienna, an interdisciplinary research team developed a complete openBIM building permit process for the City of Vienna. The research team included all stakeholdes involved in such a permit process: City of Vienna (building authority), ODE (BIM experts), Chamber of Architects and Engineers, as well as researchers (TU Wien). This team used BIM, augmented reality (AR), and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to digitally transform the building permit process. The submitted (open)BIM model is semiautomatically checked against more than 80% of the building regulations. AR supports the building authority officers and involved citizen. AI is used to automaticly identify documents.
