In this talk we discuss how the regularity of AML functions relates to the smoothness of the ambient space.
The main result presented here is a generalization of the one of O. Savin which states that AML functions defined on open subsets of the Euclidean plane are C^1-smooth. Recently, a Hamiltonian approach was developed by F. Peng, C. Wang and Y. Zhou.
