SkyVille-Dawson, The Interlace, The Henderson Waves Bridge, The Oasia Hotel Downtown, Singapore City Gallery, The Parkroyal on Pickering, The ArtScience Museum, The Marina Bay Sands und die tropischen Gardens by the bay.

he topic of my thesis is the planning and design of an architecture center in Singapore. I chose this topic because of the impressive diversity of the city. During my visit to Singapore, I was truly captivated by its rich architectural culture. This has inspired me to design an architecture center that will serve as a platform for exhibitions, events, education, and research on Singapore‘s unique architecture. The architecture center will not only showcase the history and current present of architecture in Singapore but also discuss future visions and challenges. In this context, some of the key architectural features in Singapore are analyzed, leading me to personally visit SkyVille-Dawson, Interlace, Henderson Waves Bridge, Oasia Hotel Downtown, Singapore City Gallery, Parkroyal on Pickering, ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands, and Gardens by the Bay. Architecture in Austria was chosen as a research reference because of its pioneering cultural centers on a global scale. Several building projects in Austria are sustainable architecture that use local materials from renewable sources and are characterized by its high economic efficiency, functionality, and quality. Examples of such projects are the Kunsthalle Wien, the Museumsquartier Wien, and the Kunsthaus Graz. Singapore has a rich history with various influences from China, India, Malaysia and Great Britain. This diversity is also reflected in the architecture. At the same time, Singapore is also a pioneer in the field of modern technologies. Austria, on the other hand, also has a long history with various influences from different European countries. However, this thesis does not aim to make a comparison between architecture in Singapore and Austria. The aim is to raise awareness and interest among the public for the architecture in Singapore and to contribute to its urban development and identity.
