Differential centrifugal sedimentation is investigated as a method of measuring inclusion body size distribution and estimating the efficiency of cell lysis via high pressure homogenization. Comparing the results obtained via sedimentation with microscopic measurements suggests an influence of the lysis conditions on the inclusion body density. By comparing the normalized relative weights of inclusion bodies and remaining cells, the degree of cell lysis could be estimated via sedimentation
