Production monitoring aims at detecting critical changes regarding production quality and information security of complex Cyber-Physical-Production-Systems. However, identifying the scope of asset properties to monitor is often challenging due to the multi-disciplinary relationships between production quality and security aspects. Therefore, focused production security monitoring requires modeling and analyzing the assets and properties that have an impact on production quality. This paper introduces the Production Quality+Security (PQS) approach to represent and integrate the quality and security expert knowledge required for analyzing production effects and their influencing asset properties as a foundation for monitoring changes to these properties. In a feasibility study, we evaluated PQS with a CPPS for automotive production. The study results indicate PQS to provide an effective and efficient knowledge representation for the integrated analysis of production quality risks and security monitoring parameters.
