Since opening in 2008, metro station Taborstraße in Vienna has been covering its heating and cooling needs with geothermal energy, which is obtained using energy diaphragm walls, energy piles and energy bottom slabs. As this was the first infrastructure building of this type and scale worldwide at the time of construction, one of the diaphragm walls of the station was equipped with numerous sensors to obtain data sets of the thermo-mechanical behav-iour of the energy wall elements. Measurements have been performed from April 2008 until May 2011 and ongoing since October 2020 in order to allow for long-term comparison of the measurement data and to create a basis for assessing the effects of geothermal operation on the structural components. This paper focuses on the thermally activated foundation elements and their instrumentation. Predicted and measured energy data of the station are compared before the temperature and strain behaviour of the energy diaphragm wall is discussed based on the measurement data collected over a period of around 15 years of operation.

Od otvaranja 2008. godine, stanica metroa Taborstraße u Beču svoje je potrebe za grijanjem i hlađenjem pokrivala geotermalnom energijom, koristeći odgovarajuće dijafragme, pilote i dno temeljnih ploča. Budući da je to prva zgrada ovakvog tipa i veličine u svijetu, jedna od dijafragmi stanice opremljena je brojnim osjetilima da bi se dobili podaci o termo-meha-ničkom ponašanju zidova ove metro stanice. Mjerenja su vođena od travnja 2008. godine do svibnja 2011. godine, te od listopada 2020. godine, da bi se mogle napraviti usporedbe mjerenja i da bi se stvorila baza za procjenu utjecaja geotermalnog djelovanja na elemente konstrukcije. Članak se fokusira na elemente temelja aktivirane termalno i na njihovo instru-mentiranje. Uspoređeni su podaci o procijenjenoj i mjerenoj energiji stanice, te se raspravlja ponašanje dijafragme temeljem mjerenja u periodu od oko 15 godina.
