dc.description.abstract
The study presents the results of evaluating 3GPP Release 16 indoor positioning specifications within a private 5G standalone network deployed at an industrial research laboratory in Vienna, Austria. Positioning accuracy was assessed in line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) scenarios at over 80 locations. The observed positioning accuracy ranged from less than a meter to a few meters based on the scenario. The objective was to assess if these specifications can meet smart factory use case requirements.
