We present to graduate and undergraduate students the development of novel quantum materials at the Institute for Solid State Physics (TU Wien). We explain different techniques to study these materials at low temperatures and high pressure and/or high magnetic field. We discuss how Fisher information and, hence, multipartite entanglement can be measured in a solid-state experiment.
