Zwischen Himmel und Donau: Neue Perspektiven im Hochhausbau

Abstract

Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit verschreibt sich den Möglichkeiten und Herausforderungen im Hochhausbau am Standort Donau City in Wien. Das Hauptaugenmerk liegt auf der Integration von Wohn-, Arbeits- und Erholungsräumen in einer städtischen Umgebung, die sich durch eine ausgesprochen hohe Lebensqualität auszeichnet und modernen Mobilitätsansprüchen gerecht wird. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt auf der innovativen Nutzung von Terrassenwohnungen, die den Bewohner*innen private Außenbereiche bieten und die Wohnqualität steigern. Das Projekt verfolgt das Ziel, durch eine harmonische urbane Eingliederung innovative architektonische Standards zu setzen und die Skyline von Wien zu bereichern.

This thesis examines the possibilities and challenges of high-rise multi-purpose construction in the Donau City area of Vienna. The main focus is on the integration of residential, work, and recreational spaces in an urban environment associated with a high quality of life and transportation links that meet modern standards. Special attention is given to the innovative use of terrace apartments, providing private outdoor spaces and improving the living conditions for residents. The project aims to set new architectural standards by integrating them harmoniously into the existing urban context, thereby enhancing Vienna‘s lively skyline.
