dc.description.abstract
The multiscale finite element method has shown its high potential for the simulation of the eddy current problem in closed magnetic circuits with laminated cores. This work presents a new approach developed to extend the multiscale finite element method to open magnetic circuits. To this end, a three dimensional eddy current problem with the novel T,F- F multiscale formulation and linear material relations has been studied. Numerical results demonstrate the high accuracy of the presented method.
