We present a study on the characterization of InAs/AlSb quantum cascade detectors (QCDs) grown strainbalanced on GaSb substrates. The high-quality growth, design, and characterization of strain-compensated structures results in polarization-dependent absorption that is attributed to both intersubband and interband transitions.
