dc.description.abstract

The Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Banja Luka currently does not have its own building. The starting point for my interest in this project is precisely the paradox that the faculty dealing with design and construction does not currently have its own space. The profession, which affects the appearance and presentation of the city, does not currently have its own representative institution. In addition, there are organizational reasons that speak in favour of structuring. The faculty rooms are currently in two different locations, about 25 minutes ‘walk apart. Through personal experience, this often leads to ambiguities and delays in everyday student life. I find this project interesting because it combines different segments of architecture. On the one hand, I deal with the functional floor plan and the improved workspace for the students. On the other hand, the physical appearance should emphasize the function of this building. Through the studies of construction and material, a dynamic facade can be created that works together with the green and peaceful surroundings. The potential of the location, the large avenue and the special green areas should be fully incorporated into the new project.
