Lernlandschaft : Transformation einer leerstehenden Tischlerei in Pernitz

Abstract

Das Projekt die „Lernlandschaft - Transformation einer leerstehenden Tischlerei in Pernitz“ beschäftigt sich mit einem Umnutzungskonzept zu einer offenen Lernstruktur.Die theoretische Auseinandersetzung zu Beginn der Arbeit befasst sich mit dem Thema Bildung und Schulbau. Hierbei werden vor allem neue Bedürfnisse und Anforderungen an den Schulbau thematisiert, die sich nicht an dem standardisierten Klassenraum orientieren. In weiter Folge werden Referenzbeispiele analysiert und Erfahrungswerte eines ehemaligen Grundschulpädagogen, sowie Schulleiter gesammelt. Diese Analyse dient als Grundlage für die Projektentwicklung.Anschließend wird das Schulzentrum in Pernitz genauer betrachtet, da die Lage des Bestandsgebäudes in unmittelbarer Nähe zu den Pernitzer Schulen steht. Darauf hin wieder eine intensive Bestandsanalyse der leerstehenden Tischlerei durchgeführt, um das Gebäude zu verstehen und eine konkrete Auseinandersetzung zu ermöglichen.Im Entwurfsprozess entsteht das Projekt „Lernfabrik“, die das frei und individuelle Lernen fördern möchte. Dafür wurden zwei Lernlandschaften entworfen, die durch unterschiedliche Zonen und Bereiche verschiedene Lernformen unterstützen. Es handelt sich um einen Ort des Lernens, der den Kindern sowohl mit ihren Lehrkräften als auch alleine zur Verfügung steht.Abschließend wurde die Ausstellung „Neue Sichten“ als ein gemeinsames Gruppenprojekt vor Ort veranstaltet, um in einen Diskurs mit den Einwohnern und Einwohnerinnen zu treten und zu zeigen wie viel Potenzial in dem Leerstand ihrer Gemeinde steckt.

The project „Lernlandschaft - Transformation of a disused workshop building in Pernitz“ deals with a conversion concept to an open learning structure.The theoretical discussion at the beginning of the work deals with the topic of education and school construction. This primarily addresses new needs and requirements for school construction that are not based on the standardized classroom. Reference examples are then analyzed and experience from a former primary school teacher and head teacher is collected. This analysis serves as the basis for project development.The school center in Pernitz is then examined in more detail, as the location of the existing building is in the immediate vicinity of the Pernitz schools. An intensive inventory analysis of the empty carpentry shop is then carried out in order to understand the building and enable a concrete discussion.The design process creates the „Learning Factory“ project, which aims to promote free and individual learning. Two learning landscapes were designed for this purpose, which support different forms of learning through different zones and areas. It is a place of learning that is available to the children both with their teachers and on their own.Finally, the exhibition “New Views” was organized as a joint group project on site in order to enter into a discourse with the residents and to show how much potential there is in the vacant properties in their community.
