Erdöl- und Erdgasmuseum Baku, Aserbaidschan

Abstract

Das Projekt des multifunktionalen Museums „Öl und Gas“ in Baku vereint unter einem Dach alle Museen, die sich mit der Thematik von Öl und Gas in Aserbaidschan befassen und zuvor an verschiedenen Standorten präsentiert wurden, von denen ein Teil in Archiven aufbewahrt wurde. Dies ermöglicht den Besuchern einen umfassenden Einblick in die Geschichte einer der wichtigsten Branchen Aserbaidschans, die einen enormen kulturellen und historischen Einfluss auf viele Lebensbereiche des Landes und seine Bewohner hatte.Zusätzlich wird in diesem Komplex die Forschungs- und Entwicklungsabteilung von SOCAR untergebracht – dem staatlichen Ölunternehmen der Republik Aserbaidschan, das für die Ölförderung im Land verantwortlich ist.Kultur-, Bildungs- und Freizeitaktivitäten werden innerhalb der offenen Architekturstruktur stattfinden und den Besuchern ermöglichen, die Anatomie des Gebäudes zu erkunden.Das Museum befindet sich am Ufer des Kaspischen Meeres in einem ehemaligen Industriegebiet der Stadt, wo einst die ersten Fabriken zur Ölproduktion und -gewinnung standen. Dieses Projekt wird dazu beitragen, zwei bislang getrennte Stadtteile zu verbinden, indem es einen Entwicklungsimpuls für diese Gegend schafft und eine große Anzahl von Besuchern, Touristen und Arbeitnehmern anzieht.Das fertige Projekt wird sich harmonisch in das städtische Ensemble einfügen.

The project of the multifunctional „Oil and Gas“ Museum in Baku unites under one roof all museums related to the theme of oil and gas in Azerbaijan, which were previously exhibited at different locations, with some of their collections stored in archives. This allows visitors to gain a comprehensive insight into the history of one of Azerbaijan’s most important industries, which has had a significant cultural and historical impact on many aspects of life in the country and its inhabitants.Additionally, the complex will house the research and development department of SOCAR – the state oil company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, responsible for oil extraction in the country.Cultural, educational, and recreational activities will take place within the open architectural structure, allowing visitors to explore the anatomy of the building.The museum is located on the shores of the Caspian Sea, in a former industrial area of the city, where the first factories for oil production and extraction were once situated. This project will help connect two previously separated parts of the city by creating an impulse for development in the area and attracting a large number of visitors, tourists, and workers.The completed project will integrate harmoniously into the urban ensemble.
