Von Wand zu Wand : Ein Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung des Bausystems vivihouse

Abstract

Die Folgen des Klimawandels sind für unsere Umwelt bereits deutlich spürbar. Deshalb sollten wir so Bauen, dass Mensch und Umwelt nicht geschadet wird. Vivihouse ist ein Bausystem, womit mehrgeschoßige Gebäude im Selbstbau mit nachwachs-enden Rohstoffen wie Holz, Lehm und Strohentstehen können und somit einen Beitrag für eine gesunde und regenerative Baukultur leistet. Diese Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Weiterentwicklung des Bausystems und untersucht dessen Anwendung im mehrgeschoßigen urbanen Kontext. Das Interview mit Nikolas Kichler, einer der Initiatoren des Bausystems, liefert qualitative Erkenntnisse zum Außenwandelement, insbesondere zum Einfluss der nationalen Brandschutzanforderungen. Die Forschungsarbeit „Urban Straw“ führte zu einer optimierten Wandkonstruktion, die das System für den urbanen Einsatzertüchtigen könnte. Ergänzend untersucht ein zweites Interview mit Holzbauunternehmer Alexander Distel die technische Umsetzbarkeit in der Zimmerei. Zudem wird ein Ausstellungskonzeptentwickelt, das kreislauffähige Wandlösungen am Beispiel vivihouse vermittelt.

The consequences of climate change arealready clearly noticeable in ourenvironment. We should therefore build insuch a way that people and the environ-ment are not harmed. Vivihouse is a buildingsystem with which multi-storey buildingscan be constructed using renew-able rawmaterials such as wood, clay and straw,thus contributing to a healthy andregenerative building culture. This diplomathesis deals with the further development ofthe building system and examines itsapplication in a multi-storey urban context.The interview with Nikolas Kichler, one ofthe initiators of the building system,provides qualitative insights into theexterior wall element, in particular theinfluence of national fire protectionrequirements. The ‘Urban Straw’ researchproject led to an optimised wallconstruction that could make the systemsuitable for urban use. In addition, a secondinterview with timber constructionentrepreneur Alexander Distel examines thetechnical feasibility in carpentry. Anexhibition concept is also being developedto showcase circular wall solutions usingvivihouse as an example.
