dc.description.abstract
This work focuses on the mathematical description of various phenomena arising in the mathematical modeling of micromagnetics. Two chapters of the thesis are related to high-contrast homogenization in micromagnetics and present a connection with the theory of manifold-valued Sobolev spaces. A further chapter focuses on the modeling of the interplay between magnetic microstructures and long-range effects. A further part of the thesis revolves around a Poincarè inequality established for Sobolev maps with variable exponents.
