This work summarizes current applications of MALDI FTICR MSI to study lipid organization in skin and related models. It describes how oxidized lipids, ceramides, sphingolipids, and phospholipids change across aging, senescence, and environmental stress, and highlights practical aspects that shape MSI results, including washing steps, matrix choice, acquisition settings, and spatial interpretation
