The biocatalytic asymmetric reduction of imines has emerged as a precious tool in organic synthesis. This rapidly evolving research field has witnessed significant growth in recent years, showcasing its potential for obtaining enantiomerically enriched amines. This chapter provides a comprehensive review of the current state of the art in this synthetic strategy and its applications in important synthetic pathways.
