dc.description.abstract
In this work, we present THz QC RL coupling measurements of two random laser cavities in which the disordered medium is created by random holes in the gain material. QC RLs produce coherent, broadband THz radiation while they use a disordered gain medium for broadband optical feedback and multimodal spectra. The devices are fabricated via a double metal process and consist of two half discs with 10 μm holes as scattering centers. We observe denser modes and a broader spectral range when both halves are active indicating the existence of coupling effects.
