This whitepaper distills the experience of the Flex4Res project in designing, deploying and operating industrial data spaces, with a focus on resilience in manufacturing networks. It translates a diverse set of technical pilots and architectural concepts (Gaia-X, International Data Spaces (IDS), Pontus-X and Asset Administration Shell (AAS)) into practical guidance for organisations that want to share data and services securely while retaining sovereignty over sensitive production information.
