Die vorliegende Arbeit dokumentiert die Erstellung eines Simulationsmodells für ein Shuttle-System. Dieses Simulationsmodell wird in der Simulationsumgebung SIMIO erstellt. Das betrachtete System besteht aus einer variablen Anzahl an identen Lagerebenen und zwei Lagerliften. Diese Lagerlifte sind in der Lage sowohl Einlager- als auch Auslagervorgänge durchzuführen. Das erstellte Simulationsmodell wird verwendet, um umfangreiche Untersuchungen am System durchführen zu können. Betrachtet wird dabei die Änderung des Durchsatzes bei unterschiedlichen Systemkonfigurationen. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit bekommen dabei die Veränderung der Ausgangspuffergröße und die Anzahl der Lagerplätze des Shuttle-Systems. Zusätzlich zur Ermittlung der Durchsatzwerte ist man durch ein solches Modell in der Lage, eine Vielzahl an Systemdaten zu erhalten und auswerten zu können. So werden zum Beispiel die Liftauslastung, die Wartezeit und der Lagerstand über den Simulationszeitraum aufgezeichnet. Ergebnis dieser Arbeit sind umfangreiche Erkenntnisse über den Einfuss der Lagergröße und anderer Randbedingungen auf den Durchsatz des Systems.

dc.description.abstract
The present thesis documents the creation of a simulation model for a shuttle-system. This simulation model is designed using the SIMIO simulation software. The viewed shuttle-system consists of a variable number of identical storage levels and two storage lifts. These storage lifts are able to both perform and combine input and output processes. The created simulation model is used to perform extensive tests and collect data regarding system performance. The focus of these tests is the change of the throughput-value of the system during different system configurations. Of particular interest is the change in value of the troughput depending on different output buffer sizes and storage depths. In addition to the troughput values, the created simulation model provides additional data regarding the performance of the model. For example, the model keeps track of the lift utilizations, the waiting time and the stock level during the entire simulation run. The result of this thesis is comprehensive knowledge about the influence of the storage depth and other factors on the throughput value of the system.
