“Headquarter in Hangzhou – the metropolitan hybrid

Abstract

Qianjiang Century City (QCC) befindet sich im zentralen Teil des Bezirks „Xiaoshan“ (Hangzhou, China), mit Blick auf den Bezirk „Jiangan“, sowie den alten Stadtkern, welche sich auf der anderen Seite des „Qiantang“ Flusses befinden. Der städtebauliche Plan (veröffentlicht vom „Planning Bureaux of Hangzhou“) sieht vor, dass QCC nach Fertigstellung das „neue Zentrum“ von Hangzhou wird. Der gewählte Bauplatz für das Thesis-Projekt befindet sich im Zentrum von QCC, direkt bei der U-Bahntransferstation „Yingfeng Lu“. Der Ort bietet ein großes Potential für ein Gebäude mit gemischter Nutzung- einem Programm, das alle modernen Annehmlichkeiten der Stadt umfasst, wie Einzelhandel, Büros, Wohnungen, Hotels und Freiflächenanlagen.

Qianjiang Century City (QCC) is located in the central part of “Xiaoshan” district (Hangzhou, China) with a great view to “Jiangan” district across the “Qiantang” River, were the ancient town center of Hangzhou is located. The urban development plan envisages that QCC will become the ‘new center of Hangzhou after completion. The chosen project site is the center of QCC, next to “Yingfeng Lu” subway transfer station. The place provides a great potential for a mixed-use headquarter building to support the urban surroundings a development consisting of all the cutting-edge amenities of the city: retail, offices, housing, hotel and open space facilities.
