dc.description.abstract

dc.description.abstract
The global market for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) has expanded dramitically since their first introduction in 2007/2008, which lead to gaining interest of learners and teachers worldwide. The possibility to offer thousands of students free course access and taking advantage of the connected learing approach via the web allows MOOCs to be one of the most interesting models of online learning. This thesis should clarify which technical criterias, didactical concepts and organizational arrangements are needed during a MOOC implementation. A indepth literature research regarding organizational criterias, didactical concepts and technical criterias of MOOCs, builds the foundation of the methodical approach. This allows to analyse the selected MOOC plattforms Coursera, edX and openHPI. As a result, this thesis delivers an actual market overview of available MOOC management systems, a classification schema for the most commong MOOC types and a criteria catalog which is devided into technical criterias, didactical concepts and organizational criterias. The derived organizational model provides an overview regarding planning, course cycles, assessment, feedback and support of course participants during a MOOC impelementation.
