Precisely, the principal objective is to analyze the Spanish market and fill the existing gap of information that exists up to that point. The project has been carried out with the support of Vienna University of Technology which, since 2005, analyzes the demand side of FM on a yearly basis in different European countries such as Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and the Netherlands. The study is conducted among the Top 500 companies in Spain (ranking is sales driven) from different types of industries. Thereby, the project has been divided into different points structured as follows: - Background of the study. It outlines the research problem, objectives and scope. - Selection of the research design and methodology. - Discussion of the whole essence of facilities management. - FM volume market in Spain and the evolution of the main areas. - Analysis of data and interpretation of results found from the interviews and questionnaire process. - Finally, summary of findings, conclusion and discussion of implication for theory, practice and research.
