Ricerca e cultura al porto : Forschung und Kultur am Hafen : Erweiterungsbau für ein Forschungszentrum am Hafen Porticis

Abstract

Gegenstand dieser Diplomarbeit ist die Entwicklung eines Erweiterungsbaus für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit des Forschungszentrums ENEA an der Küste der süditalienischen Stadt Portici. Die Diplomarbeit gliedert sich in drei große Kapitel, wobei das Erste den örtlichen Kontext des Projekts analysiert. Hierbei wird auf die historische Entwicklung, prägende Ereignisse und architektonische Besonderheiten der Region Kampaniens, der Metropolitanstadt Neapel und der Stadt Portici selbst eingegangen. Im zweiten Kapitel wird die Idee und die Entstehung des Modells Corporate Campus und dessen Anwendbarkeit auf das Projekt untersucht. Das dritte Kapitel der Arbeit - der praktische Teil - umfasst das architektonische Konzept für das Projekt, welches sich großteils aus den Erkenntnissen des ersten Kapitels ableitet, sowie das Projekt selbst. Das Gebäudeensemble dient auf konzeptioneller und räumlicher Ebene als Bindeglied. Konkret soll das Projekt einerseits die vorgefundenen Akteure (Bewohner, Mitarbeiter des Forschungszentrums, Besucher) miteinander in Kontakt bringen, andererseits das Hafenareal mit der Stadt verbinden.

Subject of this diploma thesis is the development of an extension for public relations of the research center ENEA on the coast of the southern Italian city of Portici. The diploma thesis is divided into three major chapters, the first of which analyzes the local context of the project. Here, the historical development, formative events and architectural features of the region of Campania, the metropolitan city of Naples and the city of Portici itself are discussed. In the second chapter, the idea and the emergence of the model Corporate Campus and its applicability to the project are examined. The third chapter of the work - the practical part - includes the architectural concept for the project, which is strongly derived from the findings of the first chapter, and the project itself. The building ensemble serves as a link on a conceptual and spatial level. In specific, the project should bring the found actors (residents, employees of the research center, visitors) in contact with each other, as well as connect the harbor area with the city.
