Dabei lautet die goldene Regel: "the price is where the volume is not".

The price-setting of an asset is often very difficult. The problem is, that the price of a financial product is not clearly defined. Usually the market participants use a weighted middle of best bid price and best ask price. They calculate the price of the asset by the rule: "the price is where the volume is not". In this work the model of Delattre, Robert and Rosenbaum is described in detail. In their model they estimate the price from the order flow. The idea is, that the intensity of arrivals of limit orders depends on the distance between best bid price and efficient price. After that, the model is adapted to the data of the Istanbul Stock Exchange and we analyse the results. The realization of the model, the structure of the data and the implementation in Matlab are given. Afterwards a dependence between efficient price and volatility is shown. The volatility can-t be calculated exactly, so it must be estimated. Some estimators for the volatility are introduced and calculations are executed. At last the question, if the volatility can be calculated from the structure of the limit order book only, is settled. For perfect understanding, all proofs and codes are given at the end.
